Import/Export of products and variant specifications

It would be great if you could export all the specifications.
Item number in column 1, and then all affixed specs in the columns next to it.
It should be possible to correct in the excel file and then import the entire sheet with the new corrections.

We have now started the development of the import/export module for product data and specifications.
We have doubts about the need to develop import/export prices, so please cast your vote on this wish if it is important to you:

The feature is now in final testing at MCB and is expected to be launched to our pilot customers over the coming week. Pilot customers will submit feedback and wishes during May.
Once feedback is received and any fixes implemented, documentation and releases are made on the feature so that it can be released to all Shop customers on MCB.cloud.
We expect to release the feature in mid-June.

Jesper Pedersen: Can we get a status on this one? We are well past the middle of June.

Dear P.H. Johansson,
Thank you for your interest in our module. I'd like to give you a status update.
We currently have 4 customers actively working with the module. Although we do our best to improve it, we still experience weekly reports of errors and inappropriations. Unfortunately, we have not yet reached a stable operation on the module for a whole week.
We are determined to resolve all issues and want to ensure the module works flawlessly before we release it to more customers. We are aware that there is still a high correction volume and we do not want to offer the module to more customers until we have achieved the desired stability.
We appreciate your patience and support while we work hard to improve the module. We will keep you updated on any progress and we are confident that we will reach the bottom of the current challenges soon.
If you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me.
Sincerely,
Jesper Pedersen

Jesper Pedersen: Hi Jesper, Can we get an insight into what it looks like - we are waiting with longing for it, but if it's not quite what we want, we might as well push our own development a little...:)

Jesper Pedersen: Can't we get an updated status? I am sure that many of us are waiting with longing for this very function.

P.H. Johansson: The Import/Export solution has been in beta operation for two rounds at a number of customers. There have been a number of findings in the process - both in the lack of stable operation and shortcomings in functions and how the functions behave. We will be providing a major update next week where stability issues and the last challenges of managing groups will be resolved. In this regard, we release documentation and release note to our customers. It will not be a feature that by default is active on all customers and all users - as it requires insight and understanding of Excel and data. However, customers who want the module enabled on their site simply contact our customer service, which activates it on the rewarding users that the customer wants to have access to. All of this will also be part of our documentation coming out next week.

Jesper Pedersen: Here some weeks after the documentation and releasenotes should have been released I still haven't seen anything?

Hello Lars Friis Hansen
Is the plan still launching late this month? We are working on preparing new shops, so I also need to know if it will be possible to export and import product descriptions? What about prices?
//Henry
Lars Friis Hansen
Henrik Christensen: Yes, this is still the plan with launch here in April. However, I doubt if we will get prices with this in the first version.

Lars Friis Hansen this one has been a long time coming. How far are you from reaching the finish line?
Lars Friis Hansen
Henrik Christensen: It is scheduled to be presented at the end of April 2023

Practice that the project is delayed, when do you expect to be able to communicate something about it. We're really waiting for this one.

Unfortunately, the project has been delayed and will be put on pause for now.
You will receive an update when we restart the project together with an expected launch date.

Lars Friis Hansen: Can you give me a little idea of when it will start again? We need to internally assess whether we should start manually, or whether we can wait until you expect it to be resolved? :)

We have just begun this task, starting with the import/export of all the base fields on the product.
The next stage is specifications, after which I would like to ask for your input on whether we should continue with variants, prices, stock, images or something else.
Please respond with your request as a priority.
K
Kristina Simonsen
Lars Friis Hansen: We only need it in terms of specifications, since the rest is something that is handled in ERP system:)
P
P.H. Johansson
Lars Friis Hansen: We need most of it if it's going to be able to replace the solution we've already paid for. I'll send you an email with what I think would be relevant to include in an export/import function.

Lars Friis Hansen: is there an estimate for how far you guys are with this? When we can approximately expect to use it approx.
Lars Friis Hansen
Kristina Simonsen: We're on the job, and I'll keep you updated when there's progress.
