ALT- texts on pictures

Now it is possible to make ALT texts on photos, in articles and on boxes.
It is done by pressing the small pencil next to the picture. Then a prompt will open where you can type your Alt text in the “Caption” field.
Why is it so important?
By using Alt tags (text) on your images, you help Google understand what's in your images. Search engines cannot yet fully read what is in pictures, and so it is important that they can read their way forward to it.
It also helps your website's strength in relation to searches and hence SEO. By naming your images and using the right keywords in your Alt tags, you help your website to appear on Google, for example. It is not as important as, for example, search engine optimization of your texts, but it helps in the overall score of the page.
