Offer icon/badge at variant level

Today, the offer icon/badge (imageoverlays) appears on the main product, including all the variants, even if only some of the variants have a reduced price. This means that the items that are NOT set down will also get the offer icon on them. Is it possible to control it at the variance level?

This need can be addressed by displaying the percentage saving at variant level.
